Ms. Peggy

“Hi there, folks! I’m Ms. Peggy, a bulldog mix! (snort) Pardon me, I snort and grunt when I get excited. ☺️ If we get to meet, I hope you don’t mind me climbing into your lap; I love the attention! I like going for walks and, while I’m not much of a runner, you may get a short, wobbly jog out of me. I also take great pride in my appearance, so if you could help me trim my nails, clean my ears, and top it off with a good brushing, I’ll be very appreciative. I can not wait for my forever friend to find me! (snort) Just the thought puts a hop in my wobble and a burp in my belly!”

Ms. Peggy is incontinent, managed through medication. She will need to go to a home who is undestanding that accidents may happen.

Sponsor Ms. Peggy

By sponsoring one of our dogs living at the sanctuary you will help give them a comfortable retirement, provide medical care and food!  You will be recognized on the sponsored dog’s page for your one year sponsorship. All of our dogs receive a thorough veterinary exam, blood work, possible teeth cleaning and extractions, vaccines, and microchips. Some of the dogs also need laser therapy for arthritis, chemotherapy, hip surgery and many other specialty services. With your sponsorship you can help provide quality vet care!
You are able to choose to sponsor food for 1 year for $500, medical care for 1 year for $1,000 or all expenses for 1 year for $2,500.
If the dog you are sponsoring passes away during your time of sponsorship your donation will be used to provide quality vet care to another senior dog in our program.

Hi Forever Foster Parent(s)!

Our primary goal at OFSDS is to find lifelong placements for senior dogs where they can live the remainder of their lives as a part of a family. Most of our Old Friends that you see at the Sanctuary are available through our forever foster program.

Through sponsorships, donations and grants we will provide medical care and basic needs to the dogs living in our foster homes.

Fostering for OFSDS is different than fostering for other rescues in that we hope that our fosters will be “forever” homes for the remainder of their Old Friend’s life. Although adoption is not expected, we will sometimes allow our fosters to adopt dogs from us, however, all adoptions must start as Foster Families. Foster homes must be within 100 miles of Mount Juliet, TN.

Because our main goal is to place senior and un-adoptable dogs in safe, lifetime placements, we do not charge any fees.
