Our Mission

To provide a loving home, good food, high quality vet care, compassion, and comfort to senior dogs for the remainder of their lives.

To build a Forever Foster Home network to enable us to place more senior dogs in loving home settings for the duration of their lives.

To provide education on the joys and challenges of caring for aging dogs.

To work with other dog rescue groups to promote the adoption of senior dogs.

  • It’s Pit Bull Awareness Month, and we’re celebrating our SENIOR pitties! 🐾 Pit bulls often face unfair stereotypes, and when you add age into the mix, finding a home can become even harder. Senior pitties are so much more than their breed or their age. They have big hearts, unique personalities, and SO much love left to give. 💚 This month, we’re shining a spotlight on our senior pitties at Old Friends to remind everyone that they deserve the same love, compassion, and chance at a forever home as any other dog. Help us spread the love for senior pitties by sharing this post! 💚
  • 🏡 Homeward Bound: Ramen, Ella, & Katie 💚 Three more seniors are heading home, and we couldn’t be happier! ✨ Ramen hit the jackpot with a forever home and someone who will appreciate her for the special girl she is and give her the beautiful life she deserves! Ella has been with us for a few months, and now she’s off to her next chapter with a new family and kiddos to love! She’s already doing amazing, and we couldn’t be more excited for her! Katie has been waiting over 400 days for this moment, and SHE’S FINALLY GOING HOME! 🥹 After all that time, Katie has found her perfect match, and we couldn’t imagine a better ending to her wait.   • Some of our sweetest seniors have been waiting far too long to be noticed. 💔🐾 Senior dogs can get overlooked for so many reasons, whether it’s their age, medical needs, or simply because younger dogs catch people’s eyes first. But we believe every senior deserves to be seen, loved, and given the chance to thrive in a home of their own. We’re shining a spotlight on 5 of our most overlooked Old Friends in hopes of changing their stories. Help us get their faces out there and find the people who will see just how special they are.   • 🚒❤️ Joy is reporting for duty… and she understood the assignment! Our girl Joy got to spend some time out of her day visiting the Wilson County firefighters, and she was an absolute STAR! 🥹 She loved meeting new people, sniffing all the new smells, and soaking up every second of her special outing.
