Buddy

“Hi, there! I’m Buddy a super cute 11.5-year old Shih-Tzu/Pekingese mix! My other half, Sassy, recently ccrossed the Rainbow Bridge; I certainly miss her but will continue to live life to its fullest in her memory! When I first arrived at the sanctuary, I had very limited vision. Thanks to our donors, though, I was able to receive corrective cataract surgery and am pleased to share that my vision was restored! I do require eye drops, which aren’t my favorite, but they are worth being able to see again! I am incredibly sweet and love people and other dogs. While my dearest Sassy can never be replaced, I am thrilled to share that I’ve found my forever home, which comes with Bonnie, a new playmate and canine sibling! We may be two very different sizes, but I’m confident our futures will be filled with lots of fun together!”

As told by her favorite caretakers: “Sassy may have been bonded with Buddy, but she was truly an independent queen! Her favorite thing to do was go for a ride in her stroller. She was generally a quiet gal but became the most vocal dog in the room as dinnertime neared. Sassy was famous for starting a riot by rolling around on the floor; she would get all of the other dogs involved! We will miss her gentle heart, her spirit, and watching her budding romance with Woody. Run free, Sassy. We love you.”
