Maggie & Marvin
From their Geezer Guardian, one of our staff caretakers: “‘Dogs come into our lives and leave paw prints on our hearts.’ When Maggie came to the sanctuary at 16 years old and was put in our room, I knew from the very first day she was meant to be mine! She was the most loving & sweetest dog I have ever met. She stole my heart! She loved to be held and rocked like a baby. She loved to play dress up; everyone at the sanctuary always said she was the most stylish dog there. She was! Her cuddles I will miss the most. She slept right next to me in my arms almost every single night, just like a baby! In the four short months since I brought Maggie home, she showed me what unconditional love was & the bond we had was one I will never forget. She really was my best friend and I was so lucky I got to be her mommy. Losing her has been so hard and absolutely heartbreaking but, just as I promised her, I will always make sure Marvin (her son) is taken care of. I will see you again one day sweet girl. I love you Maggie, Mags, My girl. XoXo.”
“Marvin was a special soul, a tripod pup with an unending supply of sweet, obnoxious puppy energy. From the countless times I came home to find the trash destroyed, to his adventures in the litter box, Marvin filled our home with his unique blend of mischief and love. He made sure our house was always lively, even if it meant never being able to have visitors without a bit of chaos. Marvin, you were more than just a pet; you were family. Your absence leaves a void that can never be filled, but the memories of your spirited antics and boundless affection will stay with us forever. Run free, sweet boy. You finally get to go be with your mommy 💕 We love you! Mom, Dad, Fancy, Piper & Lil Pipes.”
