Princess
As told by one of her caretakers, “Princess was the matriarch of a family of four (Macha, Momma, Safira). She enjoyed her old lady naps but was still very lively and active when she was awake. She was very peaceful and could get along with any dog, and she could always go for some good chin scratches. Although she struggled with dementia for some time, we were still able to cherish moments with her when she would look us right in the eye and come up to sniff our faces and get pets. Princess was loved by many of our staff and by her bonded partners. She loved going on walks, sniffing around on the Splash Pad, and relaxing in her fancy fuzzy beds. Most of all, she loved to eat. She enjoyed her physical therapy time because it meant she got to eat wet food out of her special spoon, and because of this she became a star pupil of our rehab department. We will miss calling her by her many nicknames and laughing when she gets crusty whiskers at mealtime. The loss of Princess was a big one, but she is in a better place, living it up with all of her friends that have been waiting for her across the Rainbow Bridge. Rest easy sweet girl.”
