Savannah

As told by our Director of Dog Care, “Savannah, or Vanna, was a true inspiration to all of us. She faced a challenging diagnosis as a puppy (megaesophagus), but she never let that get her down. From being a shy girl when she arrived – allowing only a few caretakers to approach her – to opening up and touching the hearts of so many staff members and volunteers, Savannah defied the odds. She did everything she set her mind to at top notch speed, literally. She was a goofy, playful girl. Savannah was the door greeter of Admin and our own personal alert system. There is a huge Savannah-sized hole in our hearts and she is deeply missed, but we know she is running and playing at max speed over that Rainbow Bridge!”
