Baby Shark & CJ

“Greetings! I am Baby Shark, a 10-year old male Dachshund. I was part of a sweet and spicy bonded pair with my buddy CJ, a 10.5-year old male Shih-Tzu, but he recently gained his angel wings and is missed dearly. I love to play and am obsessed with balls: I like to fetch, catch, hold, and chew! I’m a funny little guy with a big personality, and I’m not afraid to show it off! I am so grateful that CJ & I found our perfect Geezer Guardians and were given the chance to have a home of our own! We were also given some super cool new names: Sherlock (formerly Baby Shark) & Dr. Watson (formerly CJ)!”

From his Geezer Guardian: “We said goodbye to Watson. Many of you will know him as CJ, the one in the wheelchair. I always think, ‘next time will be easier.’ It never is. Each time I lose a piece of my heart the other missing bits ache anew. But as each piece goes missing, I realize my heart is a little bigger than I thought. There’s always just enough to give to another pup, or two, or three. Papa will always love you, my boy. I wouldn’t trade a minute for anything. Even the ones where you peed or pooped on me. There are a lot of those. You’re up there barking at God now. I’ll see you one again one day, baby boy.”
